Our amazing animal ambassadors want to celebrate finishing the For The Love of Animals summer program with you! We are putting on an adoption event with puppies, kittens, cats, baby bunnies, and young/small dogs. We will be baking treats to raise funds for Companion Animal Foundations continuing programs.
Come join us at the 33rd Annual Dog Expo on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in Eureka. We will be there all day with our Pet Tag Engraver, Volunteer and Foster applications, and some of our currently adoptable puppies! The purpose of the Dog Expo is to promote responsible dog ownership. Meet over 20 breeds of dogs. See exhibits and demos of dog agility, obedience, tricks, sled dogs, dancing dogs, police K9s, and more. There will be many different types of dogs to interact with but please remember to leave your pets at home. Demonstrations of various dog activities will occur throughout the day and the raffle drawing will begin at 3:15pm to benefit spay/neuter. Come join us and meet our pups up for adoption!
Join us with your pup for a day of tasty beers in Blue Lake! On Wednesday, August 7th, Mad River Brewing is hosting a Pints for Non-Profits event for us where $1 from each pint will be donated towards our Mobile Veterinary Unit Fund! Opportunities for fun will also be had starting at 6pm with Raffle prizes, a Bake Sale, on-sight pet tag engraving, and Face Painting! The awesome band Claire Bent and Citizen Funk will also be playing for us that night! Lots of fun is in store so please tell all your friends and we’ll see you on August 7th!
Who could have thought up a better combination than this?!? Pizza, beer, AND animals!? We invite you to a delicious night out for a great cause at this Pizza & Pints for Non-Profits at The Madrone - Brick Fire Pizza and Taphouse. All funds raised at this event will be benefiting our Mobile Veterinary Unit fund that we will be using to purchase a ‘ready-to-roll’ mobile unit that will help us provide much needed pet care and vaccinations for the rural and under served areas of Humboldt County. A portion of the proceeds of both the pizza and pints of beer purchased that night will be donated to CAF! Please come out for a great night and support our efforts to reach this worthy goal!
Join us on Tuesday, April 30th from 2pm to 10pm for a day of delicious cider and fun! Humboldt Cider Company is hosting a Cider for Nonprofits event benefiting Companion Animal Foundation and our Mobile Veterinary Unit fund!
There will be a 50/50 raffle, silent auction items, on-site pet tag engraving, homemade dog treats, organic catnip pillows and more CAF swag for sale. Best of all, every contribution you make will be going to benefit animals in need! 10% of tap sales on the event day will be donated to CAF to contribute to our Mobile Veterinary Unit fund that we will be using to purchase a mobile veterinary unit to provide much needed pet care and vaccinations for the rural and under served areas of Humboldt County. (Cider, beer, wine, and kombucha are all available on tap!)
We are excited to be getting more involved in fundraising within the community here in Humboldt and we are always so grateful for the support we receive. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Companion Animal Foundation is joining forces with locally-owned tattoo shop, Sangha Tattoo Studio, for a feel good fundraiser to kick off the month of April. Come enjoy food and beverages, visit with adoptable animals, and get fresh ink and piercings all while raising money for Companion Animal Foundation’s mobile vet clinic fund.
On Saturday, April 6th, Sangha Tattoo Studio is hosting a tattoo fundraiser, Paws for a Cause: Give til’ it Hurts, where at least 6 tattoo artists and a body piercer are donating their time and their profits to us in order to help us reach our goal of purchasing a mobile veterinary clinic for Humboldt County. This event will be showcasing adoptable animals, delicious bites, beer provided by Lost Coast Brewery, and the unique, handcrafted tattoo designs by some amazing and talented tattoo artists. Food and beverages will be provided (for a donation) and adoptable animals will be on premises.
Reservations are first come, first served, and you are encouraged to come early to secure your ink or piercing slot. Hours are 11am to 7pm, Saturday, April 6th. There will be varying flash tattoo sheets with animal-themed designs that start at $60 and can range to $100. **CASH ONLY PLEASE.** This is an all ages event and ID’s will be checked for alcoholic beverages.
